Cumberland Heights Admissions Process:
Admissions Assessment: You will receive a comprehensive assessment with an admissions counselor which helps us determine the appropriate course for your treatment. Accompanying family members or friends will meet independently with an admissions staff member for a brief interview and to have any questions answered regarding treatment.
- Insurance & Financial Matters: Financial arrangements are typically agreed upon prior to your scheduled admission. Our insurance relations specialists will assist you in maximizing the benefits available under your health insurance plan. For more information please take a look at the a list of the most common insurance companies we accept.
- What to Bring / Not to Bring: Before you pack, review our list of suggested items to bring for your stay at Cumberland Heights. We ask you to bring all prescriptions and any over-the-counter medications in their complete packaging including prescription bags. The medical staff will safely store them until one of our physicians is able to determine their use during and after treatment.
- A Typical Day in Treatment: Each day at Cumberland Heights is unique, and each patient works an individualized care plan to meet his or her distinct needs. On a typical day each patient’s treatment schedule begins at 7AM and lights out is 10PM. Between these hours, several group therapy sessions and individual counseling takes place along with personal time for 12 step-work, socializing and of course eating 3 square meals in the dining hall.
- Family Visitation: Our family visitation schedule is always on Sundays from 1PM – 2:15PM. Family members are encouraged to visit with patients throughout treatment. In addition we do allow family members to attend Chapel Services, which begin at 11AM. A signed release must be requested by the patient no later than Thursday of that week. Upon arrival at Cumberland Heights, please come to the Frist Family Life Center. There are three entrances. One entrance is in the back parking lot which is handicap accessible to an elevator. Two are in the front with the one near the chapel being handicap accessible.
