The ARCH Academy Special Projects Fund
In 2019 we’re expanding our continuum of services with ARCH Academy, Adolescent Recovery of Cumberland Heights, a unique new program which will provide 60 days to six months of residential care for adolescent boys, ages 14 – 18, suffering from alcohol and drug addiction. The new recovery program site is located in Pegram, Tennessee just up the road from our River Road campus.
Adolescence is a critical time in human development. We feel by providing quality, long-term treatment to teens and their families we’re able to make a positive change in their lives, their families and their community. Our interviews with parents, educational consultants and clinical referral sources indicate an urgent need in our region for a quality, long-term adolescent treatment program. Building on this knowledge and our 30+ years’ experience treating adolescents, we’re developing ARCH Academy on 67 beautiful, wooded acres to provide 12-Step recovery, proven clinical therapy, educational services and adventure programming.
Education is the foundation from which adolescents will build a future. Knowing this, we address and support academic education throughout our adolescent programming.
An onsite, private licensed high school by the state will allow the teens to keep up current studies and graduate high school. The school will meet the unique needs of students pursuing recovery from substances. Each student will follow the curriculum of his local school district standards in all core and elective areas. In addition, our licensed teacher will work closely with families to provide guidance when transitioning back into a traditional academic setting.
