Recovery Care Advocates at Cumberland Heights

Studies have shown that accountability with a continuing care plan, sober fellowship, family involvement and extended support networks can serve as critical in the development of long-term recovery success. At Cumberland Heights, we provide the treatment our clients need to manage their symptoms independently and stay healthy for life, including coordinating care transitions, providing ongoing alumni services and offering family programming during treatment.

Our Program

The Recovery Care Advocacy program, provides one-on-one guidance, check-ins and community engagement through the first year of recovery. Recovery Care Advocacy sets our clients up for success in the months and years following their completion of our treatment programs. We provide these services to each patient free of charge. All alumni are eligible to engage our RCA staff.

Recovery Support

Here at Cumberland Heights we understand that recovery means more than just abstinence. Our experienced support team covers everything from the basics of 12 step meeting attendance and finding sponsorship, to some of the more multifaceted issues we all face in early recovery. As Certified Peer Recovery Specialists, our team is not only highly trained, but they also carry with them the incredible value of personal recovery themselves.

Relapse Prevention

Our team is works to identify those “red light” indicators that often forecast a relapse. Our team works thoroughly to help redirect any destructive behavior with a person-centered approach. We understand that early recovery is all about maintaining the momentum built through the treatment process and our goal is to steady that momentum through the first year of recovery.

Community Resources

A big part of Recovery Care Advocacy is in connecting our patients with the vast resources inside and outside of the Cumberland Heights system. We understand that recovery happens everywhere, in every community, and we look for opportunities to connect our alumni with all the resources a community has to offer, whether that be contact information for local recoverees, health and wellness, meditation centers, or simply a good coffee shop recommendation.
