Caught Between Our Joy and Our Fear

Sunday Sermon: Caught Between Our Joy and Our Fear

“We all know what it’s like to be caught between our joy and our fear. Those moments where this life in recovery feels pretty good and then something happens and our fear kicks in. The Magi found themselves caught between their joy and fear, but made a decision to choose their joy. They refused to go in the direction of their fears and instead recognized that inner-joy is worth trusting, following, and building a life around. Epiphany is a celebration of God’s presence breaking through to shine as a light in the darkness. We are reminded to choose joy over fear and seek out God’s presence and light in our own lives.”

Scripture text is Matthew 2: 1-12
