Cumberland Heights Sunday Service – June 21, 2015

Faith doesn’t banish fear, but helps us cope with our fear.

“Our faith that a power greater than ourselves will guide us and restore our lives to sanity helps us cope with our fear. It helps us cope with our feelings so they don’t run wild and take over our thoughts and actions. If we think of faith as primarily trust in our Higher Power, not simply as belief, then we can understand faith as trust that motivates us to action. When we trust in God we know that God is stronger than the chaos of life. We can find courage through recovery and our relationship with God to flourish and be of service to others.”

Scripture text is Mark 4: 35-41
