In 2017, I was given an opportunity of a lifetime and checked into residential treatment at ARCH Academy. Now, 6 years later, I still use the toolsets I was provided here in the maintenance of my recovery from drug and alcohol abuse. During my time at ARCH, I was introduced to 12-step fellowships, participated in group therapy, provided a personal therapist tailored to my needs, and learned how to develop functional relationships with family, friends, and significant others. I have been a proud employee of ARCH Academy since 2019. Every day, I am given the privilege of working with other young men, like myself, battling the disease of addiction.

Before, during, and after my addiction, I have always had a passion for endurance athletics. This includes ultra-endurance cycling, running, and hiking. Due to ARCH and its successes with me, I have been able to delve quite far into this passion. Over the course of the last few years, I have hiked 100 miles in 4 days, ran a 31-mile race, and ridden 200 miles from Pigeon Forge, TN, to Marshall, NC in one sitting.

Now, I plan to push myself yet again mentally, emotionally, and physically. Only this time, I am able to hopefully give back to the company and treatment center that has given me the very life I now live.

On March 10th, 2023, I will be riding for 12 hours around the airstrip at Cornelia Fort Airpark. This is a 1.25-mile loop. The hope is to reach a distance of at least 200 miles (160 loops). Hopefully giving some of you reading this inspiration to donate to ARCH Academy to provide more young men like myself a chance at living their lives clean and sober.
