Who is Residential Treatment For? Who is Outpatient Treatment For?

If you’re not sure whether residential (inpatient) or outpatient treatment is right for you, we can help. Our inpatient programs are structured, intensive, and offer 24 hours a day medical and emotional support. If you are part of the inpatient program, you will stay on campus for the duration of your treatment. Your individualized program includes many different therapies including group, individual and experiential. Outpatient treatment is for those who have a stable work and home environment and need a program that is flexible with their schedule. Patients are oriented to the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics/Narcotics Anonymous and participation in local twelve step support groups is required. Compliance with abstinence is monitored through the use of random urine drug screens. A patient’s length of stay is usually 28 sessions but can be variable based upon the patient’s clinical needs and progress. Continuing care services, including onsite aftercare groups, are coordinated onsite for patients after completing the program.

Because we know addiction is a family disease, loved ones of those in both inpatient and outpatient programs will complete the Family Program. The program helps families learn how to rebuild vital pieces of their relationships, including trust, boundaries and communication utilizing experiential and therapeutic group exercise. Clinical staff will also explore family dynamics and addiction in order to recognize behaviors and respond in a healthier way.
